We started to rent out a house in 2015 for vacation holidays and made a listing on several platforms such as Airbnb and HomeAway. Soon rentals started to come in via these platforms, but we also had some direct rentals from friends and family. So we started to use an excel sheet to keep an overview of all bookings.

In the meantime we reviewed some existing software, but in the end we just created our own solution that is live since a few months.

Now I just wonder if other people in this community have the same problem? And if so: what kind of functionality would you expect?

We use Myvr.com which is hosted and works with Airbnb, VRBO, Homeaway, Booking.com, Flipkey, Tripadvisor, etc. It is awesome and they are always adding features. We have used the system for almost four years since they started out and have been very pleased with the system. The best part is that they have taken our input and put in a lot of features that we suggested.

Centralized Booking Calendar: A live calendar that shows all the bookings from different platforms in one place would be a key feature. It would be even better if this could sync with each platform to avoid double bookings.
Automated Messaging: Automated messages for guests, such as booking confirmation, check-in/check-out instructions, and follow-up messages for reviews would save a ton of time.
Payment and Invoice Management: Tracking payments and generating invoices for each booking can be a headache. Having a function that automates this process would be a blessing.
Maintenance and Cleaning Schedule: The ability to manage cleaning and maintenance schedules for the property would be beneficial. Ideally, you'd be able to input the schedules and get reminders when tasks need
